Car Show of Complete Excess

So this morning, I was able to go with Heather's step dad and step brother out to Irvine to see a car show where people from all over bring in their personal cars to show off, do burnouts, and basically try and one up each other and prove that they spent more money than the other guy. Totally awesome to be there and see it all though. They do this every saturday, weather permitting, and there is always something new and big. As we were walking over Dale (Heather's step brother) asked me what my dream car was. After little hesitation I said "An Audi R8, but they are really rare, so I doubt we'll see one." He told me that there was probably a good chance that we'd see one. I didn't believe him but was excited to get in and get a closer look at all the Ferrari's that we'd seen pulling in. Anyway I ended up seeing three R8's and a tom of other amazing cars. Enjoy the pictures below.

An R8 that was totally tricked out- as if it wasn't cool enough he had carbon fiber all over it and even had NOS!

Another shot of it.

This was a Porsche that had been tricked out for Le Mans type racing

A Ford GT in Racing Colors

Got to love the license plate on this Gallardo

The side mirror says it all- "I cost more than your house!"

Bond, James Bond- I have always loved Aston Martins

Elenore anyone? a Shelby GT 500- There were people bowing down to it!

"Another" Ford GT- It was crazy the cars that we were just passing by because they were so common.

A black R8- it had to be the sleekest looking car there- so mean!

Complete and unabashed indulgence. I'd be too afraid to drive something that expensive.

Okay Dan, love the cars. We miss you two. Just wanted you to know that I have the reunion blog up and running. www.reunionrun.blogspot.com I understand that you live billions of miles away. However, I know that you miss Rexburg and certain people that live here. Well, we'd love to have you come, but I'll understand if you're unable to come to the best reunion ever! I still have information to post, with lots more humor. So check it out!
