Doggy Day Care

My sister Kelli is in town visiting this week while her husband is away in training for the Border Patrol. The dogs have been in heaven since there is someone at the house to play with them during the day. They might be a little hyper at first but with enough treats you can get them to be your best friends.

Like I said they are a little much to handle at first...

But they settle down...

And if you're really good, they'll even let you ride them!

Scaredy Cat

So Scoresby usually does a pretty good job of keeping herself clean and bathes frequently, but about once a year it becomes necessary to give her a bath ourselves. usually it's not too bad just a little meowing and it's over but it was a little bit harder this time.

When she figured out what we wanted to do she tried to hide

But we got her- A wet cat is never happy!

But she got plenty of love after- She was a pretty good sport about it all.

The dogs both got baths after, but they both love em. It's nice that they can actually stay clean now that we have cement.

A Cold Day and Hail

Yesterday we were able to get together with family on Heather's side and have a "progressive dinner" We started out at our house and had appetizers and salad and then drove up to Heather's mom's and had Corned Beef and cabbage as an early St. Patrick's Day dinner. We also had an Easter egg hunt for Kyra because we wouldn't be with her on Easter. Here are some pics.

Kyra Gathering eggs in Geri's back yard- she was such a trooper is was unusually cold

Brian chilling in my love sac looking back at a bunch of Paparazzi (a.k.a. Mom, Grandma, Aunts and Uncle)

Kyra admiring her take- She made out like a bandit!

A pic of the whole crew

and to top everything off it started to pour and then hail like crazy- this is the only pic we got but you get the idea

CONCRETE!!!

So for those of you who have been to our house you know how much the dogs love to play in the dirt and then not be able to come inside. We would have to give them a bath and always worry about them when it rained because it would turn into a big mess. When our tax return came in we knew exactly what we wanted to do- Pave the entire yard so that we wouldn't have any maintenance . Here are some pics, I know it's not as exciting for you all as it is for us, but we don't have pictures of kids so this is what you get.

ramp through the gate into the back yard

Looking the other direction at the gate from our french doors leading into the master- We eventually want a hot tub on the upper level

Looking at the corner you would come around from the "hot tub" area. The dirt area is kind of a "U" shape and will probably have rock or bark for now until we really figure it out- maybe fake grass

This is the piece that connects the previous two pics

The other half of the rock/bark area looking over to the gate for the dog run

New Business Opportunity

So Heather and I have become involved in a new business opportunity that helps people save money on all of the products and services that they are already currently using. It is fairly difficult to explain over a blog but you can go to our site for the company and there is a great overview that explains everything. If you are interested after that let me know and I can definitely tell you more. Even if you aren't I would still love to hear what you think about the whole program.
