The Last 3 Months...

Life just seems to fly by, so here are a few pics from the last 3 months....

Maren (Dan's sister) and I ran the Salt Lake City Half Marathon in April. It was really fun, thanks everyone for all of your support!
"Practicing" at 5:30am...
The Start line
My really cool medal
Thanks Maren!!

My brother came to visit in May, and we had a lot of fun hanging out by pool & training for our 10K...by "training" we mean running for 2 days...thanks Jason for visiting!

Watching some sports...
Did I mention my brother was supposed to be recovering from a shoulder injury..running is good for that right?? This is our godmother Gina who also had an arm injury...

Memorial Day 10K fun run @ Storm Stadium
Almost to the finish line...thanks Jason for being a great motivator!

My Principal and another teacher took two of our students to Sea World. Elias (on the right) didn't even know what Sea World was...they had so much fun & so did we!!
Being silly... They both got these really cool necklaces. The Shamu show was based around these necklaces & their meaning...."If you believe in something, you can do it". We thought this was a perfect message for the two boys.

Last weekend we went down to San Onofre/Camp Pendleton. I participated in the "World Famous Camp Pendleton 10K Mud Run", it was a blast & I will definitely be doing it again. More pics from the actual race coming soon...

Kyra & I

The kids LOVED Dan!!

Summer has officially started...the last day of school was June 18th. I'm ready for some relaxation time....

SYTYCD

Yes we went to the taping of So You Think You Can Dance last night (Tuesday) in L.A. Our friends Ryan and Erica got tickets thorough some of their friends from out of state and asked us to come with them. Thanks Guys! After arriving pretty close to the cutoff time for entry Erica worked her magic and cut in line close to the front and then brought us up to the front, which was a good thing because we almost didn't make it in. We stood in that line and the security line outside the theater for over 2 hours, but finally made it in. We were in the Standing section in front of the stage but in the very back row. Since they don't allow cameras, cell phones or any other type of recording device we couldn't get any pictures (I took care of that as you'll see later)

Anyway, I learned a couple of things.

1. Cat Deeley is not as attractive in person although her legs really are that long. She just looks about ten years older than she does on TV.

2. She is a Diva, but only in how she takes her drinks in between segments. She had someone bring her out a diet coke that had a straw and an umbrella!

3. Lil C is retarded and tries way too hard when giving his critiques....
"In your routine I saw you portray a message and submerge yourself in a way that wasn't a hindrance to your partner. Instead it showed a certain divinity and subtleness in your thorough way of modifying the manipulation of movement. I think you might be everyone's competition within the competition by making a fantasy become reality. The primary focus of all obstacles is to induce labor so progression can be born, and I just saw the birth of progression. You showed the epitome of recovery and the sincerity and authenticity of your emotion unfurled in a dominant submission culminating in a new vernacular of dance. Thas was BUCK!"

He seriously needs to write a book entitled "The Ghetto Thesaurus". Um your honor... These Alegimagations is ridicamolus! He seriously used all those phrases above and more in just that one show, and it didn't make any more sense in person.

Since we weren't able to take pictures there, I had to wait until tonight to watch the episode and pause it and take a picture of our backs.

This is the wide view, and the only time that you could actually see us (or our backs). I'm in the corner in the white looking shirt next to the yellow shirt girl. Ryan is directly to my left and our wives were right in front of us but we were hiding them pretty well. Below is a closer shot.

GREAT years ahead for Cougar football!

So BYU just received a commitment from the #1 rated high school player for the 2010 class. Jake Heaps is a QB out of Washington state. With his commitment he also brought along 2 other blue chippers, A reciever who decommited from Texas and the number 5 rated middle linebacker in the country from Oaks Christian in CA. I have included the latest highlight reel for Heaps below.

Enjoy and try not to drool too much! RISE AND SHOUT!!!!!!

And here is the press conference as I finally found video of it.
